“God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Tidings)” by Hillsong Worship one has been a favorite of mine for a few years now. Love the modern folk rendition and make harmonies.
Fun fact: I came so close so doing this song for a Christmas special when the song was released. Due to being requested to sing the popular contemporary Christmas song “Born is The King”, which is also by Hillsong Worship, the song was replaced.
With that said, I hope you get the experience of playing this song for your church! Don’t worry if you don’t have the accessibility to use a banjo. Be creative, switch it out for clean electric lead or maybe a 12 string acoustic.
