So it’s 2016. For most it means a fresh start or new opportunities and chances in life. For some, it’s just another day. Maybe it’s a great day off or another day of work. What does it mean for you?
As a musician, it means that I have some goals to set. Whether that be new songs to learn, new gear to check out or new moments to experience the presence of God in worship or going somewhere I’ve never gone before. You have to have your eyes forward on the New Year that the Lord has presented to you.
What is it in 2016 that you will do for the Lord with your talent? Travel to another county and take your music there? Or perhaps, join a new church and establish your sound there or contribute to a worship team already in motion. Maybe, you’ll record some music and travel to lead a church with your own original music. Or just maybe, you’ll start a worship blog!
Now, I’m not at all the stereotypical “New Year, New Me” kind of guy. I’m still going to McDonald’s and drinking coffee whenever I need it. But, I do believe that God grants us with new moments. New opportunities. So why not take advantage of them?
Get out there, go on adventure. It’s 2016.
I hope this has blessed you and would love to hear stories here, or on Instagram or Twitter @anhonestsound!
