Have you wondered if you’re all that you’re supposed to be? Have you felt like you’ve peaked? Maybe, we have a picture painted of ourselves as great musicians or singers that people look up to. There could be a lot of pressure on your shoulders having to live up to that image. But somewhere inside ourselves we have asked ourselves, “Am I all that I can be”?
I ask myself this constantly. Am I really where God wants me to be? Not that there is anything wrong with where I may be in life, but I wonder just what is in store for me and what God has for me to be. It can be easy for us to not be content and want things to happen right here and right now. I’ve been there. Frustrated with my surroundings and not feeling like I’m not accomplishing anything.
But His plan surpasses mine. In Him contentment is such great gain. He is working through you where you are at for a purpose. That doesn’t mean that the stress and pressures of life are simply going to vanish from your life, but you can find strength in Him when you are weak! How good is that?! Whether you only sing background or lead vocals or you’re playing rhythm guitar or playing lead, you are positioned for a purpose. Never take that for granted.
Keep yourself from comparison and judgment. Looking at the achievements of others and comparing yourself to that can be harmful. If your brother wins, we all win! Encourage each other. Help each other. Pray for one another to be all that you can be.
In Him nothing is impossible.
