If you were to ask me, who is one worship leader who you consider a spiritual father, it would be Brian Johnson.
Every song written and lead by him sounds like it has a story; he has experienced so much, the highs and the lows and comes out on top with the Lord right by his side. With songs like, “Forever” (being my second favorite worship song ever) and “Have It All”, you can hear the passion and the conviction that he sings with.
The space that he allows the Lord to move inspires me to grow in sensitivity to the spirit, whether it be with an acoustic guitar or a full band, he encourages the church to sing within the spirit and pull down heaven.
His voice that is so clean and mighty with baritone fluidity really gives shape and identity to the songs he has written and even co-written. Brian Johnson is someone to really look toward for spiritual guidance within worship and I cannot wait to learn some more from him.
